It appears Monaco star player Tiemoue Bakayoko is destined to play in the Premier League next season after emerging as a target for Premier League champions Chelsea this summer.
In a new development, according to new reports coming from France, the defensive midfielder has arrived London ahead of completing a transfer to Stamford Bridge as a deal worth £36.7million is set to be completed.
The France international has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea in the coming days, and it is believed that personal terms will be agreed after a deal was struck with Monaco.
What remains is for the 22-year-old to complete a medical, and according to French outlet RTL, he arrived London yesterday in order to get the move done.
He was an impressive member in Monaco’s run to the Champions League semi-finals and the Frenchman will stabilise Antonio Conte’s options as the Italian tactician gets set to challenge for both the Premier League and the Champions League in the fast-approaching campaign.
Bakayoko’s arrival at Antonio Conte’s side could see Nemanja Matic’s transfer to Manchester United confirmed, even though Cesc Fabregas is expected to remain until next summer.
Last season, Bakayoko played 51 total games for Monaco and scored 3 goals with 1 assist to help win the Ligue I title.
