Graeme Souness thinks Chelsea’s stability throughout the team is the key to their success this season.
League leaders Chelsea battled to a 2-0 win over Hull City at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon to move eight points clear at the top of the table and also firmly establish themselves as the favourites for the title.
The Blues are leading the way at the top of the table and have also earned plenty of praise for their displays under new boss Antonio Conte so far this term.
Last season, Chelsea struggled vehemently and ended up in the tenth position without a trophy. However this season, the blues have been quite impressive.
Now former Liverpool star Souness is of the opinion that Chelsea’s all-round stability has been the key to their success so far this season.
Souness speaking to Sky Sports attested that this current Chelsea team are a really solid outfit that can win games without being at their best.
“When a team goes to Liverpool or these other teams and they have a defensive attitude, Liverpool and others can find [a] way through and score goals. But in doing so, they become vulnerable themselves when the game turns, and for me this is the difference between Chelsea and the rest.” he said.
