Former Liverpool star player and captain Steven Gerrard, has made it known that he is fully expecting Arsenal to finish in the top four this season.
The north London side kicked off this current season harbouring hopes of winning the English Premier League title after their second-placed finish in the top flight last term.
The Gunners have finished in the top four in all of Arsene Wenger’s seasons in charge at The Emirates to secure qualification for the Champions League.
However this current season, there appears to be a fierce battle between Chelsea FC, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, and also Manchester City for a top-four finish this term.
However, Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is expecting fully to see the North London club finish in the top four this season.
When he was asked whether he thinks Arsenal will finish in the top four this term, Gerrard replied and told BT Sport: “I think they’ve got a very good chance.”
Since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 season when the likes of Theiry Henry are still there and still on fire, Arsenal are yet to win the Premier League title again.
They however did win the FA Cup in 2014 and 2015 following their move from Highbury to The Emirates.
