Done deal? – Chelsea star flies to Spain, agreement reached to seal transfer

Thibaut Courtois

In anticipation of the world best and Chelsea goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, transfer to La Liga giant, Real Madrid, Latest report states that Courtois has jetted to Madrid after a brief stopover at his home country, Belgium. and now RMC are claiming that Chelsea have agreed to terms with Real Madrid to sign the prolific goalkeeper.

This is a proof that Courtois is determined to leave the Blues this season.

If Real Madrid follow normal procedure, the club should be able to get him for free as his contract with Chelsea will lapse in six months time.

However, the Los Blancos are not willing to wait that long as they hope Chelsea would fix the sum of £31 million as Courtois transfer fee.

But it is believed that the Blues will inflate the price, especially with Thibaut winning the golden gloves at the just concluded world cup.

Thibaut Courtois, who has at one time played for Atletico Madrid stated he wanted to leave Stamford Bridge because of his children who are in Madrid with his partner.

Sarri led Chelsea squad are already losing hope of holding the Belgium Goalkeeper down.

As the club in a statement disclosed that it would let him leave if they reach an agreement with Allison Becker to come in as his replacement.

Courtois stated he would let his decision known in the coming weeks.
