Arsenal have been boosted with the news of return of Laurent Koscienly and Petr Cech ahead of their clash with Middlesbrough next Monday night
Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Cech and Koscienly will return to the Gunners next Monday after missing games due to injuries.
Arsenal were left devastated after they were stunned to a 3-0 defeat by Crystal Palace who appeared to be more prepared for the Gunners last Monday night.
The absence of Cech and Koscienly in the heart of defence for the North Londoners was evident as the backline could be save Emiliano Martinez from conceding vital goals against a resilent Palace team.
The return of the pair to the starting line-up at the Riverside stadium may restore some level of confidence in the team as they continue to fight for a top-four finish.
Speaking about their dismal loss to Crystal Palace, Arsene Wenger said in his press conference on Friday: “The last few days have not been very enjoyable, as you know. Bad moments are part of our job. You focus to prepare and make sure you respond.
“We are under pressure to deliver and the best way to do that is to play with freedom and accept the risk.
“We were beaten. You have to face reality and respond. You can win, lose or draw but what we want to do is play with commitment and belief.”
