English Premier League outfit Man United are reported to be leading in the race to sign Wales international and Swansea youngster Daniel James ahead of the summer transfer window.

Daniel James has impressed in the Championship this season and already getting attention from a number of top Premier League sides with Merseyside outfit Liverpool keen on his signature as well.

It is claimed that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is making efforts to snap up the player ahead of the Jurgen Klopp team.

The Red Devils are already making efforts to storm the summer transfer window but the quality of players initially speculated might no longer come in as they have lost out of the Champions League with no top finish.

This therefore means that the Red Devils might not be able to land star players as they had expected because most big players will seek to play in the Champions League and nothing else.

However, Daniel James remains a perfect option for the Reds team owing to his quality and prospect and the fact that he can be secured for £10 million which is affordable for Man United.

It was initially reported that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would be handed a transfer kitty of £200 million but with the Champions League miss, he has been told that he will have £100 million to engage new players.
