‘I am tempted by my former coach’ – Chelsea, Arsenal suffer major blow in £35m star transfer

Nice midfield maestro Jean-Michael Seri is prepared to give Chelsea and Arsenal a huge blow after disclosing discussions over a transfer to Serie A side Napoli.

Seri linked with Premier League move
The 26-year-old midfielder, who is expected to coup a transfer fee of about £35million, has been heavily linked with a swoop to England over the last six months, with Premier League champions Manchester City also believed to be keen on him.

However, Seri’s representative has disclosed that the player is tempted by the chance to work with Italian boss Carlo Ancelotti after another good season in the French Ligue 1 that saw a couple of Europe’s top sides sit up and take note of him.

The Serie A side finished second in the Italian Serie A under former boss Maurizio Sarri last campaign, only for the Italian tactician to then be replaced by ex Chelsea, Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain and Bayern Munich manager Ancelotti.

Chelsea set to replace Drinkwater this summer
The FA Cup holders are thought to be interested in Seri as they seek for a perfect replacement for England international Danny Drinkwater, while Gunners manager Unai Emery is well in the know about the midfielder’s exceptional talents having faced the player during his spell at PSG.

However, it looks like Napoli have leapt ahead of their rivals in the transfer race and could announce Seri’s acquisition in the coming weeks.
