Chelsea left back Baba Rahman has returned to Germany to link up with German Bundesliga left-back Schalke 04 on loan for the remainder of the season, as reported by Sky Sports.
Baba back in Germany
The defender has joined up with his colleagues on Wednesday morning and took part in his first training session after the switch.
The Ghana international defender spent last campaign out on loan at the German Bundesliga outfit only for the second stanza of the loan spell to be cut short after he sustained an injury.
Injury setback
The 23-year-old sustained a knee ligament injury while representing his Nation at the last AFCON in February and has not played a single match for Chelsea this season.
The African is yet to play this term following his injury setback so it may take a little time for the defender to regain the form needed to compete.
Hot prospect
The Premier League Champions signed the left back for about £21 million back in 2015 but he has since played only 23 matches in their senior team and seems his long-term playing future will be away from the West London club.
A decent end to the campaign with the German Bundesliga outfit could see him earn a chance with the first eleven in preseason next term.
