It has been reported that Manchester United are set to hand a huge deal of £400,000-a-week deal to Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea in coming days.

This is after talks wee weld with the player who was keen on leaving the club this winter window but was stopped by the club after a clause was activated in his contract which gives the Red Devils the right to keep him for another 12 months.

David De Gea feel out of favour with former Man United boss Jose Mourinho which made him make up his mind to leave. His insistence in leaving continued until the clause was activated.

However, David De Gea gave the club a condition to double his pay for him to commit his future and that is set to happen in coming days.

The Red Devils are desperate to keep the former Atletico Madrid star who has been in fine form and tipped to be one of the best in the world.

Interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is one of the club officials that have been able to convince David De Gea as well as meeting the management to see the need on why he should remain at the club.
