Watford Boss Targeted As Replacement For Sarri

West London giants Chelsea are considering Watford manager Javi Gracias as a potential replacement for Maurizio Sarri if the Italian tactician leaves the club this summer.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is said to be closing in on a switch back to Italy and Javi Gracias is amongst the front-runners for the job if the Italian tactician leaves Stamford Bridge this summer.

This is according to the report from the stables of trusted media outlet ESPN.

Watford manager Javi Gracias has done a good job at the club after leading them to the FA Cup final before they were beaten 6-0 by Premier League champions Manchester City who won the trophy to complete an unprecedented domestic treble.

Javi Gracias and Watford also finished the just concluded season in 11th position.

Apart from Javi Gracias, Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has also been linked with the managerial post at his former club.

The former Chelsea midfielder has done a good job with English Championship club Derby County since he was appointed the Rams’ manager last summer.

Frank Lampard is the all-time topscorer in the history of Chelsea.

For now, Maurizio Sarri is still the Chelsea manager but his move to Juventus is imminent according to recent media reports from Italy.
