The admitted that Xhaka’s leadership skills are extremely important to the national team.

Stephen Lichtsteiner has been the captain of Switzerland since 2015 and has been featuring for Switzerland’s senior team since 2006. He’s played 95 matches. Therefore, Granit Xhaka can be chuffed with the praise by the 33-year-old.

Xhaka replied his captain by stating that Steph has been a regular starter who has won a lot of titles for years, yet he is as hungry as he was at 20 years old.
