Arsenal set to complete two swap deals for Man United star & £30m striker move

According to reports, Arsenal are working on a swap move to sign striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for only £30million and offering France international striker Olivier Giroud to German side Borussia Dortmund to complete the move.

This report comes amid claims from the Guardian that the Gunners want Armenian Henrikh Mkhitaryan as part of any transfer move to offload Alexis Sanchez to rivals Manchester United this month.

It might not be a good way for the  North Londoners to conduct their transfer business, but it looks like the French boss is hoping to make good use of a tough situation this New year by signing a perfect replacement in each of these transfer deals.

The Mkhitaryan report has lingered for too long, with the Armenia international attacking midfielder then left out of Manchester United’s starting lineup in their 3-0 victory over Stoke City on Monday night.

And now, the Sun suggest the Gunners are set to offer £30million-including Olivier Giroud to Bundesliga outfit Dortmund in their bid to land Gabon striker Aubameyang.

This looks like an intelligent deal for Arsenal, who could do with an improved version of Giroud anyway as he no longer cements a regular spot in the Gunners first-team.

Mkhitaryan and former African footballer of the year Aubameyang also look like a potentially perfect combination, with the duo combining pretty well during their spell together with the German club in the past.
