Germany international defender Shkodran Mustafi has played down speculations of him wanting to depart from the North London club after a terrific display from the center-half in the win against Tottenham Hotspurs at the Emirates Stadium, as reported by the International Business Times.
The German has long been linked with a transfer away from the North London club but the Arsenal star had some big words to rubbish the reports.
The Germany defender had missed about six weeks of the campaign through a thigh problem but returned in good form to grab a goal and secure a clean sheet against Spurs.
Italian Serie A giant Inter Milan looked like the closest suitor to lure Mustafi to leave the English Premier League side last campaign but the defender insists that he has put firmly behind him all the thoughts of leaving the club.
The attention of the defender now is staying fit for the remainder of the League campaign and to help his side to challenge favourably for silverware and for a Champions League place for next term.
Shkodran Mustafi will also be hoping to hit top shape before the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia to help his opportunities of a starting place for Germany National team in the tournament.
