Star Player: I Told Mourinho I Want To Leave Old Trafford

Matteo Darmian made it known that he has told manager Jose Mourinho of his desire to depart Old Trafford before the closure of the summer transfer window.

The talented player keeps struggling at the Theater of Dreams under the former Chelsea boss, and he desires moving elsewhere to awaken his career.

Last season, Matteo made just five top-flight starts for the red devils and he sat on the bench for most occasions.

Due to his lack of regular playing time at Old Trafford, the Italy international lost his place in his national squad to someone else.

The fullback was involved in Manchester United’s recent preseason tie against AC Milan – and he even took the position of the skipper.

After the game, manager Jose Mourinho admitted that he won’t hinder Matteo from leaving his side, but that the Italian won’t leave ‘at any price’.

The player himself has made known his conversation with the Portuguese tactician, demanding for a switch before the transfer window closes on August 9.

Darmian said he desires regular playing time and is set to join a side that can offer him just that.
