Premier League giants Chelsea are interested in sending Ethan Ampadu on loan when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
The 18-year-old has struggled to feature under the new managerial dispensation of Maurizio Sarri at the club though his season has been disturbed by injury.
Ethan Ampadu recently returned to Chelsea training after recovering from injury.
He broke into the Blues’ first team in the last campaign and went on to make seven appearances for the 2012 Champions League winners in all competitions.
Ampadu has not been considered for selection by Maurizio Sarri even in the cup competitions, Carabao Cup and Europa League.
His inactivity under the Sarri-led Chelsea technical crew has prompted talks of a loan move away from Stamford Bridge and the club is said to be open to that idea.
English Championship sides Aston Villa and Derby County are interested in taking the youngster on a short-term loan until the end of this season.
Chelsea legends John Terry and Frank Lampard are managers at Aston Villa and Derby County respectively and they know a lot about Ethan Ampadu.
John Terry is the assistant manager to Dean Smith at Villa Park, while Frank Lampard is the Derby County manager.
