Despite securing the service of a new coach, Arsenal legend, Ray Parlour has told the club’s fan not to expect Unai Emery to bring the Premier League trophy to the Emirates.
The insinuation that the Gunners will end its trophy drought this season with a new manager might not be realized according to the former arsenal defender
He also doubts arsenal’s character to end the season in the top four as a result of the competition, nothing that of that is achieved, it would mean success for the club.
Parlour believes Arsenal are in a transition period and will only take time for the team to challenge for the trophy with a good manager as Emery.
His words “If they come fourth it’s been a very, very good season, a successful season. That’s how hard the Premier League is now and the competitive nature.
With the end of the Arsene Wenger era, Arsenal are yet to get back to the glory days with just one win in three games. Hence, same experience as Jurgen Klopp who had to wait before getting results is expected to play out in Emery’s case.
