East London giants West Ham United have reportedly made a bid for Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes in their quest to sign the Portuguese international player this summer.
The Hammers have firmed up their interest in Andre Gomes with an £18m bid for him after a successful loan spell with fellow Premier League club Everton during the just concluded Premier League season.
Andre Gomes spent the recently concluded league season on loan at Everton from Spanish champions Barcelona.
He joined the Toffees on a season-long loan deal last summer and his performances were instrumental to an eighth-placed finish for Everton.
The Merseysiders want to make the loan deal a permanent one this summer but they will face serious opposition from rivals Liverpool.

Only the Hammers have made a bid for Andre Gomes according to the publication from the stables of the Daily Mirror.
Andre Gomes became a Barcelona player shortly after helping the Portuguese national team to win the 2016 European Championships in France.
He was heavily criticized for his performances in a Barcelona shirt during his two-year spell at the club before the loan move to Everton.
Barcelona will most likely sell him this summer.
