Revealed: Real Madrid End Pursuit Of £105m Liverpool Target

Reigning European champions Real Madrid have ended their chase for highly rated Benfica attacker Joao Felix according to the latest reports coming out of the Spanish media.

The Los Merengues were one of the clubs in the running for the Portuguese teen attacker but they have pulled out of the race.

Joao Felix has a release clause of £105m in his Benfica contract.

According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Real Madrid have ended their pursuit of Joao Felix so as to concentrate on the chase for Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard.

The Belgian international player is the top transfer target for the Los Merengues as they try to secure his transfer from West London giants Chelsea this summer.

Eden Hazard has one year remaining on his present deal at Stamford Bridge meaning that the Blues have to sell him this summer to avoid the risk of losing him for free.

The former Lille player has already confirmed that he wants to leave Chelsea this summer having played a starring role for the Blues in the Europa League final.

Eden Hazard scored two goals and also provided an assist for Olivier Giroud as Chelsea thrashed London rivals Arsenal in the Europa League final.

The game is almost certain to be his last match for Chelsea with Spanish giants Real Madrid waiting in the wings for him.
