What next after Ramsey’s Goal?

Aaron Ramsey

Arsenal recorded a big win against Fulham on Sunday to climb up to 4th position on the log table and it will be okay to point to the fact that contract rebel Aaron Ramsey was on the scoresheet.

Two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and another from the Wales international were enough to help Arsenal with their sixth successive Premier League win of the season.

Ramsey however, joins Aubameyang as the first players to be subbed in, score a goal and give assists in a single game. It has never happened in the Premier League history.

This is the quality that is going to be missed if the Wales international is allowed to leave the club at the end of the season.

Ramsey’s commitment to the Gunners is a statement that he wants to remain at the Emirates but demands what he deserves knowing there is no rift or whatsoever crisis that warrants him to leave.

Arsenal legend Martin Keown is one of those who feels it is never late for the Arsenal board to have a sit down with Ramsey and talk things out. It is not too late for him to be handed a new deal.

The fact that Arsenal boss Unai Emery has identified the midfielder as an important player to his new style owing to his quality makes it worthy of consideration as Ramsey’s exit will mean a set back to the Spanish manager.
