Ex-Chelsea Boss Receives Tempting China Offer

Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez has been offered a tempting offer to manage a Chinese Super League club.

The former Chelsea boss has reportedly been offered a deal worth £12m on a yearly basis to dump Newcastle United for China.

According to Sky Sports, Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang has offered Rafael Benitez a three-year deal worth £36m.

Rafael Benitez has few days left on his Newcastle United contract but club owner Mike Ashley has offered him a new deal.

The 59-year-old was appointed the Newcastle United manager towards the end of the 2015/16 season on a temporary deal.

He was unable to save the Magpies from relegation during that season.

The ex-Liverpool manager then signed a three-year contract and he made an instant impact by leading them back to the Premier League after winning the 2016/17 Championship title.

Newcastle United have finished in 10th and 13th position in the last two seasons since Newcastle United returned to the Premier League.

Rafael Benitez has also been linked with the vacant managerial job at Chelsea though Derby County manager Frank Lampard is the overwhelming favourites to take the job.

He was formerly a Chelsea manager during the second half of the 2012/13 season which ended with the Europa League title.
