Chelsea are one of the most successful academies in England having won the FA youth cup for the record-making sixth time last season.

Irrespective of their impressive achievements, Roman Abramovich is very much interested in upgrading the youth teams and he is said to have given the club’s Sporting director the mandate to sign top youngsters across the world.

According to Turkish media FANATIK, the Blues are eyeing a swoop for Fenerbahce’s youngster Omer Faruk Beyaz so as to improve their academy growing reputation.

The 15-year-old plays for Fenerbahce’s Under-16 side and he’s been tipped as one of the best players of his age grade.

Omer Faruk Beyaz is yet to feature for Turkey on the international scene but that’s hasn’t stopped him from attracting top European clubs.

Fanatik also revealed that the Blues face stiff competition from European powerhouses in the race for the youngster’s services this month.

The Istanbul-based media outlet confirmed Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Manchester City Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool and Juventus’s desire to work with the Turkey prodigy, meaning, we’re set to witness a very interesting and highly competitive race for Beyaz before the end of the season.

However, the versatile youngster could turn down Chelsea’s approach due to the manner with which young players, especially academy products, are being treated by the Stamford Bridge outfits.

A move to Liverpool or Manchester City appears to be the best destination for the youngster, as long as he wants to make his first-team debut within the shortest period of time.

This is because Jurgen Klopp and Guardiola often give academy products more chances to lay claim for a place in the senior team compared to Sarri or Niko Kovac (Munich’s manager).
