Manchester United manager has Nemanja Matic to worry about after the international break with fears that the player might not be available for the Clash against Chelsea.

The player is reported to have withdrawn from Serbia’s squad ahead of their UEFA Nations League in Montenegro and Romania as a result of a back injury.

Serbia coach Mladen Krstajic had confirmed this in his press conference when he stated that the player could not make it for the game.

The MRI scan had shown he will not be able to play for the two games, making it a big worry for the Portuguese boss who has an important fixture against Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge.

It has been revealed that Mourinho will be meeting the player as he will be attending the game to scout for players. He will use the opportunity to access the player’s situation.

However, there are fears Matic will not be fit before the trip to the Stamford Bridge and that will be a big blow to Mourinho who is hoping to avoid another defeat.

Suggestions are that United owners might reconsider their stand over the former Portuguese manager if he loses the next two games as it will then be obvious that Champions League qualification will be difficult.
