Pundit: A Messi-Iniesta Relationship Brewing At Old Trafford

Paul Pogba

According to Ian Wright, the duo of Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have developed a lovely partnership in the Manchester United squad.

Ibrahimovic, after months of rumours, was eventually successfully signed by Jose Mourinho into the Old Trafford from Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent last summer transfer window.

Frenchman Paul Pogba on the other hand was signed on a world record fee of  £89m from Juventus that made him the most expensive player in the world in same summer transfer window.

The Swedish legend scored his twelfth goal of the Premier League in the 3-1 victory over Sunderland on Boxing Day, playing a vital role in helping his side snatch the full three points, with Pogba getting better as the days goes by.

Former Arsenal forward Wright, speaking to Match Of The Day on Monday night, put lots of praise on Ibrahimovic and Pogba following Manchester United’s 3-1 win over Sunderland.

“Pogba and Ibrahimovic [look good]. Pogba has three assists this season and all of them have been to Zlatan,” Wright said.

“They have a lovely relationship going. Players of that calibre with time and space… this Manchester United side are looking very dangerous.”

Well, one can easily notice some certain things on the pitch too… And we are being reminded of the closeness between Barcelona players like Lionel Messi and Iniesta.
