Liverpool transfer: Nabil Fekir claim made in France
While Liverpool fans are hoping to see Nabil Fekir at Anfield before the end of the ongoing summer transfer window, Jonatan MacHardy believes the player has every reason to stay in the Ligue 1.
The RMC Sports pundit is obviously with thoughts that are quite different from that of Liverpool’s fans.
Nabil emerged as a major target for the reds towards the end of the last term as the management sought to transform their side into a European powerhouse ahead of the upcoming premier league campaign.
The France international was on the verge of completing a move to Merseyside in June after officials travelled to France to conduct a medical for him.
Although things couldn’t be moved as planned in regards to Fekir’s medicals, Liverpool could renew their interest before the closure of the window.
However, speaking recently on the player, Jonatan suggests the Frenchman might stay with his current side since they will be playing in next season’s Champions League.
“I hope [Nabil Fekir] will stay [at Lyon].” he said.
Although manager Jurgen Klopp has one of the best attacks in Europe as a whole, the German boss was aiming at bringing Fekir into the fold to help add another dimension to the department.
But it appears that won’t be a reality any more.
