Manchester United spent £150 million in the summer transfer window and it seems they have finally found their feet under coach Jose Mourinho after another impressive 2-0 win over West Brom on Saturday.
The West Brom victory makes it their third consecutive victory in the Premier League, as they closed the gap on the top four to four points.
The new guys seem to be doing well. Swedish hugeman Zlatan Ibrahimovic is scoring goals, Henrikh Mkhitaryan is now flourishing before his untimely injury and even Paul Pogba seems to be finding his feet.
However, Gary Neville recently made some statements that tickles us.
In a Q&A on his Twitter account, one user took the plunge and asked for his thoughts on United signing Antoine Griezmann. Interestingly, Neville replied:
“The player in Spain I thought United should go for most!”
Antoine Griezmann has been linked with a move to Manchester United and some thinks Paul Pogba could influence his coming to Old Trafford.
Speaking to Sky Germany, Griezmann said:
“I always ask Paul Pogba about Manchester United. I think they are a huge club with a really good infrastructure.
“I ask Paul about some of the players, and if they’re really that good, or if Jose Mourinho is really that good.
“You hear a lot of things [speculation] about Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain but right now I don’t see me moving to a new club. But it would be awesome to play alongside Paul one day.”
From all indications, it appears Griezmann has a place for United in his heart. And even if he has no intention of leaving Atletico Madrid presently, he could become a United player in the nearest future.
