Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has taken to the internet to hint that he is close to returning to full fitness ahead of his team’s UEFA Champions League clash with Champions League giants Barcelona on Tuesday.
Strange injury
The Spanish forward has been struggling heavily with a niggling injury to his back recently but he has come on from the bench in the side’s recent games against West Bromwich Albion and Hull City.
Chelsea supporters will be hoping to see him lineup for the Blues as they prepare to play host to Barcelona at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night in the first leg round of 16 UEFA Champions League clash.
Looks fit
And the striker has appeared to suggest that he is fit and prepared to perform for the Premier League champions with a post on the internet.
The forward snapped a picture of himself with defender Davide Zappacosta after training routine on Saturday, uploaded it on social media – Instagram with the caption: “Sunny day in London! Perfect to prepare for the Champions game.
The Blues will be hoping to come away with a positive result against the Catalan side as they go for glory in the competition in the manager’s second season at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea, who now sit fourth, won the English Premier League and go to the Emirates FA Cup final last campaign.
