The new Gunners boss Unai Emery has revealed that his mission at the Emirates Stadium is nothing else but to return the club to UEFA Champions League football.
The North London club is missing out of Europe’s biggest competition for the second year when former boss Arsene Wenger was in charge.
Emery stated that finishing in the top four this season will help to achieve that while he has his sight on the Europa League where he has a history.
However, there is seeming hope of a return next season with the performance of the team under the new Spanish manager who took charge in the summer and having gone 16 games unbeaten which includes 11 games winning streak to sit in the sixth position in the Premier League table.
The former PSG boss, therefore, noted that the situation and results at the club is well encouraging which places the team on the position to push further towards the mission.
In addition, Emery stated that he has the mission to end the season with a title, the Carabao Cup, Europa League in sight.
The former Sevilla boss said there is a mission to hand the team a new identity on the pitch as well as bridging the gap between the players, club and the fans as well.
