It is quite glaring that Chelsea have been just brilliant this season and are currently nine points ahead of their nearest Premier League rivals.
So we are not surprised that top players are looking to play for the Stamford Bridge club. Just yesterday, The Telegraph published a report where they claimed that Spanish international and Real Madrid center forward Alvaro Morata expects to join the blues next summer.
According to the Daily Mail now, Bayer Leverkusen star player Hakan Calhanoglu is also looking to join Chelsea.
“God willing, I will be a Chelsea player next season,”
“There are also a number of other clubs interested in signing me.” he insisted.
Calhanoglu was in top form for his German club before he was suspended by FIFA for four months. The Turkish international was penalized for breaking a contract agreement with Trabzonspor.
This season so far in 22 games for Leverkusen, the 22-year-old star has scored seven goals and has provided assists seven times too.
He is a versatile talent who can play anywhere in the attack and the midfield too, and he has what it takes to replace former Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas at the Stamford Bridge.
Additionally, he is known to be good for his ability from set-pieces and he is currently one of the best free kick takers in the game today.
