Bruno Fernandes

Champions League finalists Tottenham Hotspur have concluded plans to launch a sizeable bid for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes according to the latest reports emanating from the media in his native Portugal.

It was revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have turned their attention to Bruno Fernandes after they were snubbed by Spanish La Liga outfit Real Betis in their quest to sign midfielder Giovanni Lo Celso this summer.

According to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, Spurs are ready to make a £62m bid for the aforementioned Bruno Fernandes.

It was revealed that they will meet the asking price set by Sporting Lisbon.

Earlier reports had claimed that Spurs will move to their second choice midfield target Bruno Fernandes if they were unable to reach an agreement with Real Betis for ex-Paris Saint Germain (PSG) star Giovanni Lo Celso.

The Real Betis star has been attracting the interest of clubs like Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur but his Spanish club has slapped an outrageous asking price on him.

Interested clubs will have to part with at least €100m for the 23-year-old Argentine international.

Spurs have turned to Bruno Fernandes as a result but they are not the only ones interested in the 24-year-old midfielder.

Premier League rivals Manchester United and Liverpool are also in the running to sign him.

The Reds need a creative midfielder this summer and Bruno Fernandes has been targeted by the Champions League holders.
