Man United Set To Snatch Star Player From Liverpool’s Grip

Last year, Manchester United signed Ivory Coast defender Eric Bailly from La Liga side Villarreal, and they also land Victor Lindelof from Benfica this summer to add more strength to their defense department.

There are other talented stars at Old Trafford – the likes of Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Smalling and Blind – who can effectively play in the central defense role. Still, there are rumours that the Old Trafford club are trying to land another center back when they have a chance to do so.

The player in question is RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano.

According to Calcio Mercato, the premier league heavyweights have been monitoring Upamecano for two years and are now getting set to make an offer for him when the winter transfer window comes.

The 19-year-old joined Leipzig this January and has quickly evolved into one of the most important players at the club.

He is a regular starter and has made 13 appearances for the German club this season so far.

Liverpool have agreed to a deal that will make Naby Keita theirs next year, and there are speculations that the Anfield club are also interested in bringing Dayot too to Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp is desperate to strengthen his back line when the winter window comes, and the French centre-back might be who can solve everything once and for all.

But considering interest from Man United – a club always ready to spend hugely to get who they want – we wonder if Liverpool can get Dayot.
