Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he’s not thinking about Premier League champions Manchester City in the race for the league title.
Klopp, while speaking in post-match press conference after the Watford game, revealed that his one and only focus is on his team.
Liverpool produced one of their best performances of the season as they scored five goals against the Hornets in a 5-0 win at Anfield.
The win ensured that Liverpool maintain their one-point lead at the top of the table ahead of Premier League champions Manchester City.
The Reds had gone to the top of the table at the weekend after they battled to a goalless draw at the home of rivals Manchester United.
Liverpool took the lead against Watford in the 9th minute through Sadio Mane who then scored a wonder goal on 20 minutes to double his side’s lead.
The Merseyside giants scored the third goal through Divock Origi in the 66th minute before Dutch international Virgil Van Dijk added two goals late in the game.
It was a fantastic dress rehearsal for Liverpool ahead of their Premier League clash at Merseyside rivals Everton at the weekend.
Everton also won their game this week via a 3-0 win over Cardiff City.
