The ‘New’ Manchester United Squad For The Champions League. Sanchez?

Jose Mourinho’s side have released an updated Champions League list ahead of the knockout stages of the tournament.

And as expected, the red devils included latest signing Alexis Sanchez.

Sanchez was signed from Arsenal last week in a swap deal that include Herinkh Mkhitaryan to North London.

The Chilean international played his very first game in a Manchester United shirt when they thrashed Yeovil Town 4-0 in the FA Cup last Friday. He also made his premier league debut against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.

Manchester United will clash with Sevilla in the first leg of their last-16 on February 21, and Alexis is expected to participate in the duel.

Actually, seeing the Chilean international in the new list is not surprising. What surprised everyone was that the red devils included Axel Tuanzebe and Demetri Mitchell – both are not currently at Old Trafford.

Axel is currently at the Villa Park on loan, while Mitchell also joined Hearts temporarily.

Manchester United were only able to get a Champions League ticket for this season after they won Ajax in the Europa League final at Stockholm the last term.

The Old Trafford club finished sixth last term but are currently sitting on the second spot of the premier league table behind league leaders Manchester City.
