Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has claimed that the best centre-half pairing Jose Mourinho has in his team is Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof.

Neville in his reaction to the 2-1 win by his former side stated identified Smalling and Lindelof as the first choice Mourinho must stick to.

Previous games have seen the former Chelsea boss make use of different lineups, following injury crisis and had admitted that he does not know who his first choice should be.

Now with the Saturday game at Watford, the United legend told the Manchester Evening News that the confusion is over for Mourinho as picked his best choice at the heart of the defence.

The former player turned pundit says the Red Devils can now build on the win and climb to the top from the discovery of the Saturday game.
