Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has taken to Instagram to reassure fans that the Spaniard is on the road to full recovery ahead of Liverpool clash.
Injury setback against La Liga side
The Spain international midfielder sustained an injury in the 17th moment of Manchester United’s 0-0 draw with Spanish La Liga side Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League first leg last-16 encounter last week.
He was replaced by France international midfielder Paul Pogba on the night to condemn the Spaniard for another spell out of action following an injury-hit season during manager Jose Mourinho’s second campaign in charge at the club.
Stiff competition for starting berth
The ex-Athletic Bilbao ace is facing competition for a starting position from Serbia international midfielder Nemanja Matic and youngster Scott McTominay at the club.
The Red Devils will visit Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday before a home match against third-placed Merseyside club Liverpool at Old Trafford on Saturday, March 10.
And the midfielder handed United a massive boost ahead of that vital top-four encounter after he uploaded a short video clip on his Instagram account of his training routine on Wednesday.
The player’s caption on the social media site – Instagram read: “Making steps.”
The Reds are currently only two points adrift United in the race for UEFA Champions League place.
The midfielder has started eight matches and has played a further 11 matches in the English Premier League in the current season.
