Juventus and AC Milan will hold talks over Argentine international striker Gonzalo Higuain who has expressed his desire to join Premier League giants Chelsea in the current transfer window.
This is according to the report from the renowned English news outlet London Evening Standard.
Gonzalo Higuain is on loan at seven-time European champions AC Milan from rivals Juventus having joined the Rossoneri last summer.
AC Milan paid around €16m for the loan deal with the option of making it a permanent transfer for €38m.
Higuain became surplus to requirements at Juventus following the arrival of former Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo joined the Old Lady from the European champions last summer in a club-record deal.
Gonzalo Higuain has already told AC Milan that he wants to leave the club with his eyes firmly fixed on a move to Chelsea where he’ll link up with Maurizio Sarri.
Sarri was his manager at Napoli during the 2015/16 season and he enjoyed a sensational campaign with 36 league goals scored.
The Argentine attacker worked with Sarri for that season alone before he sealed his big-money move to Juventus in a deal worth £75m.
He was part of the Juventus team that was beaten in the 2017 Champions League final by Real Madrid.
