Newly crowned Europa League winners Chelsea are hopeful that young winger Callum Hudson-Odoi will put pen on a new contract at the club despite the intense interest from German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

This is according to the publication from the Daily Mirror which claimed that Chelsea are ready to offer the England international a new contract offer worth £100,000 on a weekly basis.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has one year left on his present contract with the West London giants and was the subject of several bids from Bayern Munich during the winter transfer window in January.

The Bavarian giants were said to have made five separate bids for him but they were not able to convince Chelsea to part ways with one of their best young players.

Callum Hudson-Odoi also submitted a transfer request that was swiftly rejected by Chelsea during the winter transfer window.

He’s presently out with the Achilles injury he sustained in April and the English winger won’t return to action until September at least after undergoing surgery on the problem.

Hudson-Odoi is said to be open to the idea of signing a new contract but he wants more responsibility at the club.

He made his England debut earlier this year as rewards for his impressive displays for Chelsea during the just concluded season.
