Liverpool might have been hit by a massive blow after RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita ruled out potential exit this summer.
The 22-year-old has been a subject of transfer interest from major clubs in Europe due to his brilliant displays in the German League, Liverpool have also been credited with a move for the midfielder and Jurgen Klopp said to be keen on landing the Guinean this summer.
It is understood that the Reds boss has prioritised the signing of Keita this summer in a bid to sign an enforcer to his current squad, with reports the German boss is ready to cough out huge transfer fee to lure Keita to Anfield this summer.
But the midfielder has dismissed such reports, he said: ‘I really don’t worry about such things,’ he said of the talk surrounding him. ‘My only focus is on our games and my performances; they are the most important things.
‘I am a young player who never cares about rumours or what appears in the newspapers. I am now looking forward to a well-earned holiday and then to next season.’
Liverpool have not been able to put up solid defensive performances despite being one of the best attacking sides in the Premier League
