Shortly after Liverpool signed Chelsea’s Solanke, another premier league club have secured the signing of another Chelsea star Asmir Begovic.
The Bosnian goalkeeper has complete a £10M move to Bournemouth as the Cherries made their first major signing of the summer.
The Mirror are reporting that the talented goalkeeper will join Bournemouth on July 1 from the Stamford Bridge club after putting pen to paper on a long-term deal
Asmir enjoyed a memorable campaign with Chelsea, having won the Premier League title with them. However, the Bosnian star could not establish a regular place in Antonio Conte’s squad as Belgian goalie Thibaut Courtois has established himself as the first-choice keeper at the west London club.
A superb goalie like him won’t want to sit continuously on the bench, and so, he has always desire more playing time. He has been linked with Bournemouth for some time and had finally put pen to paper with the south coast club on a long-term deal.
He will join up with them on July 1st.
Asmir enjoyed a brief loan spell with the south coast side back in 2007. During the stint, he made eight appearances at the cherries. And right now, being a much better goalie, he is already eager coming to play with the club again.
Making comments about Bournemouth, Begovic notes that the club is an exciting and ambitious club that has everything in place for a very bright future.
