The Telegraph has reported that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will meet with the club’s board over the controversies of the past weeks.

This is seen as a perfect time for the club to meet the manager as a result of the international break that will have the players return to their various countries.

It is not clear what the outcome of the meeting would be but there are indications that the future of the Portuguese manager and the coming transfer window amongst other things would be discussed.

United have endured a difficult season so far, as it has been full of crisis and bad results, the worst of the club’s experience in a long while.

The Jose Mourinho men had gone four games without a win before they managed a difficult comeback against Newcastle on Saturday to win 3-2.

There were speculations that the former Chelsea boss had the Newcastle game as an ultimatum to turn things around or risk being sacked before the report was dismissed and described as nonsense.

The United management made it clear that the manager would not be sacked but will be handed more time as they have faith in him to turn things around at the club.
