According to The Guardian, North London giant Arsenal are ready to offer England international Danny Welbeck and Wales international Aaron Ramsey new deals at the Emirates club.
The publication claims that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is interested in keeping both stars at the club and offering them long-term deals, in a bid to avoid being in another situation like that of Chile international Alexis Sanchez and Germany international Mesut Ozil.
Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez – arguably the Gunner’s two most valuable footballers – are both in the 12 months of their Arsenal contracts.
This means that the Gunners could both stars on free transfers come next summer, unless they extend their current deals with the club.
Alexis Sanchez looks unlikely to pen a new deal at the club, whilst German midfield maestro Ozil could still pen his long-term future to the Emirate club.
Both Welbeck and Ramsey are out of Arsenal contract next summer and the North London club are prepared to start discussions over extending the contracts.
The former Manchester United striker will be out of action until the middle of next month after he got injured against Chelsea last weekend during the London derby where Arsene Wenger’s men forced the Premier League Champions to a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge.
