Liverpool Begin Transfer Talks With Box-to-box Midfielder
Premier League giants Liverpool have initiated transfer talks with highly-rated French midfielder Houssem Aouar ahead of the mid-season transfer market.
Houssem Aouar is on the payroll of French Ligue 1 giants at the moment.
The report from anfieldedition claims that the Reds have already initiated contact with the representatives of the player with a view to a possible transfer either in the upcoming transfer window or in the summer.
Houssem Aouar has been in sensational form for his Lyon team this term and that has not gone unnoticed with a lot of the big European clubs.
Liverpool will have to see off the challenges of Italian Serie A champions Juventus, Premier League champions Manchester City and Chelsea in their pursuit of the young midfield maestro.
Houssem Aouar drew high praise from Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola following his impressive performances against the Citizens.
The 20-year-old was in superb form as Lyon stunned Manchester City 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Matchday 1 of this season’s Champions League before producing a better outing in the 2-2 draw between both sides in France on Matchday 5.
The player made five tackles in that second game.
He has scored five goals and provided four assists for Lyon in all competitions this season.
