According to reports, Arsenal star Mesut Ozil is confident he will be leaving the Gunners to join Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.

The German looks increasingly likely to depart the Emirates Stadium before next summer, with contract negotiations not ongoing.

The playmaker could leave for free last summer but manager Arsene Wenger publicly said last week the North London club could look to sell during the January transfer window.

Wenger said once anyone is in Arsenal situation, you envisage every solution. It is very possible.

And that has prompted further speculation suggesting Mesut Ozil could seek to join one of the Gunner biggest rivals.

The Mirror report the former Real Madrid attacking midfielder is prepared to push through a move to join Manchester United.

It is claimed the Germany international has already told his team-mates at Arsenal that he will be moving to Manchester United to reunite with former boss Jose Mourinho.

The 29-year-old worked under Jose Mourinho during their time together at La Liga giant Real Madrid and the Arsenal star revealed earlier this year how Jose gave him the much-needed confidence to overcome his issues in Madrid.

The eagle-eyed midfielder has been seeking a deal worth £350,000-weekly at Arsenal but the Mirror now report their interest in keeping him has now dropped after he turned down their offer of £275.000-weekly.
