North London side Arsenal have shown big interest in Willem ll Tilburg forward Donis Avdijaj and are already taking steps to have his signature ahead of the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.

With English international Danny Welbeck set to stay out of action for a long period of time, the Gunners are making efforts to have more additions as it is not clear if he will return back as an Arsenal player.

Donis Avdijaj is tipped to be a good fit for the North London side and of a higher level than the former Man United forward which makes him preferred by manager Unai Emery.

So far this season, Donis Avdijaj has played a total of 14 games across all competitions this season and has scored 6 goals and two assists across all competitions.

The 22-year-old has a contract with his Dutch club until 2019 and has a release clause of £5 million which might increase before the deal is sealed.

Arsenal have been unbeaten in their last 21 games across all competitions which is a major boost in their bid for a top four finish this season.

The Gunners boss has made it clear that his ambition is to qualify the club for Champions league next season and as well as winning a title.
