One of the talented players Chelsea have been trying to bring to Stamford Bridge is Italy star player Marco Verratti.
However presently, the current premier league leaders have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Verratti after his agent insisted that the midfielder will have to leave his current club Paris Saint-Germain in order to win titles.
Marco is currently in his fifth season with the French club and has won four Ligue 1 titles during his time there in France.
However, after falling 6-1 to La Liga giants Barcelona in their Champions League clash two weeks ago at Camp Nou, it appears we can say PSG still look short of challenging the top clubs in the Champions league.
According to some reports coming from Spain, Barcelona met with Marcos to discuss a move last summer while Chelsea are said to be keen on a move for the Italy international.
However, his agent, Donato Di Campli, told Gazzetta dello Sport that the situation is extremely complicated currently as Verratti is tied to a very important contract until 2021.
Donato said the midfielder wants to win great titles which PSG can’t offer him and he needs to make a decision if he will be leaving to a club where he can earn a lot and still become a champion.
The midfielder’s agent also stated that any team who want to buy Marcos Verratti would be paying a lot, and if he should leave PSG, it will be for a top European club.
