Watford boss Marco Silva has said he is ‘realistic’ about his stance of keeping hold of key players like Richarlison, who has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspurs.
As reported by the Sun, Marco Silva has some fears over the youngster’s future, following his spectacular start to life in the English Premier League this season.
The 20-year-old has scored five goals and created three assists for the Hornets so far this campaign, and has shone in a lot of attacking positions, both centrally and on the flank.
The Blues could possibly do with more signings after failing to repeat their feat from last season, while Tottenham Hotspurs could also do with some new players after seeing their league title challenge slip away.
If the two suitors do intend to make a move for Richarlison, it seems the forward could move on with his manager’s blessing.
‘For the club to improve, we need to bring in ambitious players,’ the boss is cited in the Sun.
Recently, the Daily Telegraph claimed the Blues were looking into signing three key players this January, and though the attacker was not named as a target, he could fill in either in attack or wing-back in manager Antonio Conte’s setup.
