According to new reports, premier league heavyweights Manchester United are set to bid £31 Million for Bryan Cristante ahead of the January transfer window.
Cristante is a Benfica player currently spending the season on loan at Atalanta.
He has been one of the most influential players at the club this season, and has scored eight goals in 18 appearances for them.
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is said to be preparing for the exit of one of his star players – in the person of Marouane Fellaini, and the Portuguese tactician wants 22-year-old Cristante to replace Fellaini at Old Trafford.
Marouane’s current contract with the red devils expires next summer and he will be able to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the term.
There were recent speculations that the former Everton midfielder has already held talks with PSG, and the French club are set to offer him a four-year deal, amid reports that he rejected Man United’s opening contract offer.
Jose has already admitted he is concerned about Marouane’s contract situation and is hopeful the management will be able to agree to a new contract with the tall midfielder before next year.
Bryan, on the other hand, has been a Benfica player since 2014 after coming through AC Milan’s academy.
He was sent on loan to Atalanta after failing to make an impact in Portugal.
