Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio has debunked transfer reports linking Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard with a move to the club.
The Spanish international player talked about Hazard and those rumours in his recent interview monitored by the Daily Express.
When asked about the Hazard to Real Madrid transfer rumours, Asensio poured cold water on those reports before adding that they are just mere speculations.
Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has been heavily linked with a transfer to Real Madrid since the summer as a possible replacement for Portuguese international skipper Cristiano Ronaldo.
The former Manchester United star left Real Madrid during the summer’s transfer window after nine hugely successful nine years with the Los Merengues.
He won four Champions League titles and two league titles during his time at the club in addition to leaving the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu as the highest goalscorer ever in the history of the Spanish capital club.
Hazard has less than two years left on his current deal with the Chelsea and has publicly spoken about his desire to play for Real Madrid though the Belgian international captain is adamant that he will not force a move away from the club.
Chelsea are keen on securing his long-term future by making him the highest paid player in the history of the club.
