Italian Serie A giants AS Roma are the latest club to be linked with a move for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani ahead of the January transfer window scheduled to start in the next few weeks.
According to the publication from trusted Italian transfer news portal Gazzetta Dello Sport, Roma have joined other interested clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea in the race for the Italian international centre back.
Daniele Rugani has a contract that runs until the end of the 2020/21 season but the 24-year-old is said to be fed up with a lack of playing time at the Juventus Stadium.
He became the fourth choice centre-back in the summer following the return of compatriot Leonardo Bonucci to Juventus.
Bonucci had earlier left Juventus for rivals AC Milan in the wake of his feud with manager Maximiliano Allegri only for him to return to Turin after just one season at the San Siro.
Daniele Rugani is behind the trio of Mehdi Benatia, Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci in the pecking order at Juventus.
Rugani was heavily linked with Chelsea in the summer and was one of the first players touted as potential transfer target for the Blues when new manager Maurizio Sarri took over.
