Lazio star player Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has been heavily linked with a move away from the club in recent times after emerging as a target for Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
However, it appears we won’t be seeing him play at Old Trafford next season.
According to new reports, Serie A champions Juventus are set to snatch him away from United’s grips by triggering the release clause in his contract at Lazio.
Juventus are ready for a bid this summer to add more quality to their team and are interested in signing Milinkovic-Savic ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
Sergej has evolved into one of the best players in the world and has caught the attention of various top European clubs with his superb performances at Lazio.
He is currently on international duty with Serbia in Russia for the World Cup and is likely to find himself playing for Juventus next season.
It is understood Man United boss Jose Mourinho has been monitoring his situation at his current side and is interested in bringing him over to Old Trafford.
However, according to reports coming from Italy, Juve are now favourites to secure his services after speaking with Lazio about their readiness to trigger his £87.5million release clause.
It was also added that the player himself prefer joining Allegri’s side rather than to move to the premier league.
