According to several media reports, Chelsea are in negotiations to sign midfielder Tanguy N’Dombele from Lyon to replace N’Golo Kante.
Chelsea keen on replacing Kante
French publication l’Equipe, as cited by Metro, is claiming that Chelsea are keeping close tabs on Tanguy N’Dombele with the motive to a potential deal this summer.
The same report states that North London giants Tottenham Hotspurs entered into talks with Lyon’s president Jean-Michel Aulas about a transfer deal for Tanguy N’Dombele.
However, the West London side are set to enter the transfer race to land the 21-year-old to replace France international midfielder Kante in midfield for the 2018-19 League season.
The Frenchman is being linked with a move to Paris Sant-Germain following the Blues’ disappointing campaign last term.
Top notch midfielder
The former Leicester City star was one of the few positives in a rather forgettable season for manager Antonio Conte and his underperforming the Blues team.
The midfielder won the PFA player award back in 2017 after he played a vital role in their English Premier League title triumph.
The midfielder won the English Premier League crown at the King Power Stadium with Leicester in 2015-16 to secure a £30million move to Stamford Bridge in the 2016 summer window.
Chelsea were 1-0 winners against Premier League rivals Manchester United in the Emirates FA Cup final last month at Wembley after exciting attacker Eden Hazard’s goal from the spot.
